northwest valley connect,
now a program of fsl

Serving seniors aged 65 and over, veterans and individuals with disabilities in El Mirage, Peoria, Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise and Youngtown.

NVC is a lifeline for individuals without transportation options. With both paid staff and volunteers, wheelchair accessible vans and volunteers’ vehicles, the people we serve are able to get to vital medical appointments, socialize with friends and break bread at senior centers, grocery shop, get to work, and more.

The Gift of Mobility

Northwest Valley Connect Joins FSL’s Transportation Services

At FSL, we recognize that transportation can be a huge barrier in access to services for physical, mental and financial wellness. This is why we aim to provide transportation options to and from most of our statewide programming. We are ecstatic to be growing our existing transportation services to reach even more Arizonans. The new collaboration will take effect July 1, 2024, and rest assured that services will remain uninterrupted.

TRANSPORTATION

Specially trained volunteers drive their own vehicles.

ACCESSIBILITY

Two wheelchair accessible vans.

ESSENTIAL SERVICES

Getting folks where they need to go for essential services.

What People Are Saying

{Being able to go to the senior center, enjoy lunch with friends, and ‘shop’ in the food pantry makes my life much fuller. I love the folks I meet on the bus. We’ve developed some close friendships.
PT, 79, Sun City
{I have dialysis treatment three days a week. If it were not for the amazing volunteers, I wouldn’t receive my lifesaving treatment. Ellen, not only drives me, but she also truly cares about my well-being.
EH, 63, Peoria
{I often need rides to the VA for my medical appointments. Taking an Uber or Lyft would cost more than $100 round trip, and that’s impossible for me to afford on my VA and Social Security pensions.
JB, 71, Surprise
{Northwest Valley Connect is a lifeline to stay connected with my friends at the senior center. The drivers truly care about each one of us on the bus. I’d be sitting at home alone if not for NVC.
