Kathryn Chandler

NVC’s Executive Director

Chandler has 15 years of management experience of paratransit and transportation functions, including strategy, operations and customer service. As the chief administrator over NVC, she is in charge of overall operations of the organization, including transportation coordination, collaboration with area transit providers and quality assurance. Prior to her position with NVC, Chandler was a paratransit and mobility manager in Flagstaff, Ariz., where she also served on the city’s Disability Awareness Commission. Chandler is a graduate of the Flagstaff Leadership Program and a former member of the Coconino County Board of Appeals.


Kim Johnson


I started out as a legal secretary and most jobs since have made good use of that background.  After a little while at each job, I would think “this is not the job to end all jobs”.  It didn’t take me long to feel that this is the job to end all jobs.  There isn’t any where else I’d rather be.  Whether as a call center volunteer (where I started with NVC in September 2018), driving or dispatching, I love interacting and assisting the clients and the people who volunteer with us.  I never worked/volunteered with a better group of people.  I’m very grateful to be here helping our clients and working with all of you!


Rich Greene

Fleet Manager

Mr. Greene has been volunteering with Northwest Valley Connect since 2014 and loves every bit of it. Greene works as NVC’s Fleet Manager. As fleet manager, Mr. Greene manages all the vehicles that Northwest Valley Connect uses. He makes sure that all vehicles are well maintained at all times: oil changes, tire rotations, and full of gas for the following day. Mr. Greene also volunteers as a driver for NVC. He does group trips one day every week and takes one group of people to an event of some sort, sometimes the movies, or even the mall. Mr. Greene’s favorite part of Northwest Valley Connect is the satisfaction he gets from helping people who need it. He loves the overall organization and the people he works with. Rich says, “It’s a reward for me to know that I’m getting these people where they have to go”


Mickey Dorothy

Group Trip Coordinator

Mrs. Dorothy has been volunteering with Northwest Valley Connect for over 3 years now and loves every bit of it. Dorothy works as one of NVC’s Dispatchers in the call center. In that job as dispatcher, Mrs. Dorothy brings in the calls and puts them in a data base and takes them all to find a driver. She helps schedule pick-ups and drop-offs. Mrs. Dorothy was the very first person to be hired into the call center. Mrs. Dorothy’s favorite part of Northwest Valley Connect is scheduling rides for people who need it. She loves the overall company, and the people she works with. Mickey says, “I like it when we can take care of what we got.”

Trudy Ware

Grant Administration /Contract Manager

Trudy Ware enjoys serving community members touched by the heart of Northwest Valley Connect volunteers and staff who are supporting the transportation environment. Experience and skills in business administration are offered for assisting the organization to strengthen capacity, as recently demonstrated by a national certification award from the Points of Light, Arizona Service Enterprise Initiative. The recognition upholds thevalue of volunteers with communities and foundations through essential components, such as, planning & development, management support, training, and leadership. Applying grant and contract approaches that develop responsive program services is a labor of love that offers solutions for an organization attending to the voice of community members requesting rides.


Ronni Hoover

Administrative Assistant

Ms. Hoover joined the Northwest Valley Connect family in May of 2018.  She serves as Administrative Assistant to Executive Director, Kathy Chandler.  Ms. Hoover provides assistance in preparation of monthly Board of Directors’ meeting agendas, maintains the organization’s file system, historical documents, and oversight of Volunteer documents among other assignments.  Most recently, Ms. Hoover has been charged with the internal set-up of a new software management system and website.  “I have volunteered with many different groups since my retirement and this organization is the best group of folks I have ever worked with!  We all work hard, we care about our clients and each other!”

Pat Detert

Call Center Trainer & Driver

Ms. Detert has been working with NVC since 2017.  "Until I moved to Arizona in 2017 I lived almost all of my life in/around Wausau, WI.  (I was raised to be a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan).  I realized very quickly that retirement would be sooo boring and saw an article about NVC needing volunteers. I met with Kathy, thought that this would be somewhere I could really be of help and joined up. I started as a call center volunteer and continue to do so, but also started driving in 2019. I also train new call center volunteers. I am grateful to be of service to our neighbors who need help.
