Paul Herrmann is the newly elected member of the Board of Directors of Northwest Valley Connect (NVC). “Paul brings a wealth of community service and participation to the Board and, as a resident of Sun City, will serve as an informed representative from that community,” noted Kathy Chandler, NVC’s Executive Director and Mobility Manager. “We serve more people from Sun City than any other community in the Northwest Valley,” said Ms. Chandler, “so Paul’s presence on the Board will keep us abreast of issues affecting that particular community.”
Herrmann’s most distinguished role was that of Executive Director of the Sun City Visitors Center from 2002 through 2015. He also served on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging from 2007 to 2009 and as a member of the Surprise Regional Chamber from 2006 to 2012. Most appropriately he was a member of the Sun City 50th Anniversary Committee from 2009 through 2011. “I got to know Paul as an enthusiastic member of the Transportation Stakeholders Committee when I began working with this group in 2014, the birth year of Northwest Valley Connect,” said Ms. Chandler. “He understands the enormous challenges facing transportation in the Northwest Valley and will continue to work tirelessly with us as we move toward viable solutions to this issue,” concluded Ms. Chandler.
Herrmann is a second generation Sun Citian and moved to Sun City in 2000 with his wife Nancy. In addition to his new role with Northwest Valley Connect he also serves on Sun City’s Sunshine Service Board of Directors and the Board of the Del Webb Sun Cities Museum.
