Ride Connect- Transportation for Senior and Persons with Disabilities

Senior and People with Disabilities Transportation Service:
Providing Additional Options to Meet Needs

NVC aims to meet identified gaps in transportation for seniors and people with disabilities with a unique solution using paid and volunteer drivers. This service will facilitate aging-in-place in the Northwest Valley by allowing seniors and people with disabilities to plan local trips to doctors, the pharmacy, the grocery store, social engagements and other appointments and errands. The NVC transportation service is professionally managed, using a trained dispatcher and transportation software to ensure efficiency of operations and trips. The service is provided a combination of vehicles owned by volunteers as well as vehicles owned by Northwest Valley Connect. Rides have a fee that is comparable to, or slightly lower than, a taxi. Subsidized rides are available for low-income riders.
